These terms govern your use of energynorth.uk and the Energy North apps, operated by Energy North Ltd (Company Number 10551924, registered in England & Wales). By using the platform you agree to these terms. Last updated June 2026.
Energy North is an introduction platform: we connect customers (homeowners, tenants, agencies and property managers) with independent tradespeople. We are not a party to the contract for the work itself — that contract is between the customer and the tradesperson. We verify badges and documents as described below, but tradespeople are independent businesses, not our employees or subcontractors.
You must provide accurate information and keep your password safe. One person per account; you're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, abuse other users, or attempt to defraud the platform.
Posting a job is free. By posting you confirm the details are genuine and you're authorised to request the work. Your contact details are shared only with tradespeople who purchase your lead (maximum four per job). You are under no obligation to hire anyone.
Tradespeople buy leads individually — pay per lead, no subscription. Prices are shown before purchase and start at £6 (non-regulated) and £9 (regulated trades). Wallet top-ups are non-transferable. A purchased lead gives you the customer's contact details and the right to quote; it is not a guarantee of winning the work. If a lead is materially invalid (for example, unreachable customer details or a duplicate job), contact support within 7 days and we'll review it for a wallet credit in good faith.
Regulated trades may only pick up regulated jobs with an active Green badge, earned by submitting valid insurance and a recognised government-scheme certificate, which our team checks. Badges reflect documents at the time of checking; tradespeople must keep documents current and we may suspend badges that expire. Customers should always satisfy themselves before contracting — badges are a verification aid, not a warranty of workmanship.
Wallet top-ups are processed by regulated payment providers (PayPal, Revolut). We don't store card details. Invoices are available in the trader panel. Prices include any applicable charges shown at the time of purchase. Energy North Ltd is not VAT registered; no VAT is charged.
Reviews must be honest and based on a real interaction. We may remove content that is unlawful, defamatory or fake. Tradespeople may not offer incentives for reviews.
No scraping, reselling of leads, harassment, false documents, or attempts to take platform contacts off-platform to avoid lead fees. Breaches may lead to suspension and loss of wallet balance attributable to fraud.
We provide the platform with reasonable care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to any user is limited to the fees that user paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. The quality of the work itself is the tradesperson's responsibility — disputes about work should be raised with the tradesperson first; we'll assist where we reasonably can.
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the platform. Continuing to use Energy North after changes take effect means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
